USC will play at the University of New Mexico on November 30 in the arena affectionately known as “The Pit,” according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
The arena is known for being one of the loudest in college basketball. The Lobos average more than 15,000 fans per game.
Why is it called “The Pit?” The arena is built in a 37-foot hole. From the street, only the roof is visible.
