On paper, it doesn’t look good.
Undefeated Arizona arrives at the Galen Center as the No. 1 team in the country with wins over Duke, Michigan and UCLA.
USC, on the other hand, has lost its last two games by a combined 53 points.
Feeling déjà vu? The last time the two teams met, nobody gave the Trojans much of a shot against then No. 11 Arizona. Yet USC managed to pull off the upset, allowing students a rare opportunity to rush the court:
- Last time USC played the No. 1 team in the country: February 19, 2004 (lost to Stanford, 76-67)
- Last time USC played an Arizona team ranked No. 1: February 15, 2003 (lost 86-59)
- Last time USC defeated a No. 1 ranked team: March 6, 1970 (beat UCLA 87-86)
