Former USC center James Blasczyk no longer plans on playing for the Halifax Rainmen of the National Basketball League of Canada, Blasczyk told Galen Central.
“I kind of settled with Canada,” Blasczyk said. “Rushed into it.”
Blasczyk hopes to play in a higher-profile league after making major improvements to his game this summer as a result of overcoming the nagging injures he played through at USC.
“My health is fine for the first time in three years,” Blasczyk said. “Now I’m weighing my options and deciding where to spend my first [professional] year to get the stats I never got at USC.”
Blasczyk is not sure where he will be playing basketball next season.
“Just going with the flow man,” Blasczyk said. “Everything will work out.”
