USA Today’s Sam Amick tweeted this afternoon that former USC big man Dewayne Dedmon has agreed to a partially-guaranteed deal with the Golden State Warriors, according to Dedmon’s agent Mike Silverman.
Dedmon was not selected in the 2013 NBA Draft after finishing his junior year with averages of 6.7 points and 7 rebounds per game. He was also suspended at the end of the season, along with teammate James Blasczyk, after taking part in an alleged fight in Spokane, Washington.
The seven-foot big man played with the Miami Heat in the Orlando summer league and then with the Dallas Mavericks in the Vegas summer league. The Warriors added even more size with this signing, as they already have Andrew Bogut, David Lee, Marreese Speights, Festus Ezeli and Jermaine O’Neal.
