In case you wanted to see another replay of USC head coach Andy Enfield’s former squad, Florida Gulf Coast University, upsetting 2nd-seeded Georgetown in the 2013 NCAA Tournament, you were in luck Wednesday night. Enfield and FGCU won the ESPY award for Best Upset at the annual red-carpet sporting event put on by ESPN.
Enfield attended the event in person to accept the award, as did members of the FGCU team in Sherwood Brown, Brett Comer, Chase Fieler, Eric McKnight, Eddie Murray and Bernard Thompson. Enfield and his wife Amanda also made a splash on the pre-show red carpet. Enfield has only lived in Southern California for a few months, but it looks like he and Mrs. Enfield could get used to living in an area centered on glitz and glamour.
Former Trojan guard Nick Young was also on the red carpet and in attendance.
- Enfield has had a whirlwind ride since March, but it’s time for a focus on basketball (Jacob Freedman/Galen Central).
- Nick Young gives a “Fight On” (Jacob Freedman/Galen Central).
