A few weeks ago, I announced the Galen Central Tournament Challenge. I said I would provide updates, but I didn’t. My bad. Maybe I was too caught up in how poor my bracket was doing (although I did finish 4th, the highest of any of our writers). The more likely scenario is that I was too busy watching Florida Gulf Coast shock the world and entertain us all with their high flying dunks. I hear their former coach is the new USC coach. Just the word on the street. By the way, I’ll have a post on Coach Enfield very soon and why I’m so excited about the direction of the program.
Anyway, the purpose of this post is to announce the winner of our little contest. Remember, the winner was promised a guest blog post right here on Galen Central, and that promise will be fulfilled.
16 entered, but there can only be one winner. And without further adieu, the winner is…Micah Scheindlin!!!
Micah is a fellow alum from my class (2011) and a friend of mine. He is a terrific die hard fan of USC basketball, witnessed the good ole days of O.J. Mayo, DeMar DeRozan, and Taj Gibson with me, and is just as pumped about the future as we all are on this blog.
Micah’s guest post will be published here in a couple weeks. He plans to preview each team’s prospects in the Pac-12 for next season after the deadline for early entry into the NBA draft has passed. I think it will provide some unique perspective that we haven’t had and I can’t wait to read what he has to say (and then politely tell him why every one of his takes is wrong)!
In all honesty, congratulations to Micah for being smarter (and luckier) than anyone else who entered our contest. Make sure to check out his post in a couple weeks!
